Every time you save, the plugin loads your homepage and confirms the chat is live.

Set your brand colors, which corner the chat sits in, and your assistant’s name and greeting.

Leads go to your contact form

When the assistant can’t answer, it fills in your contact form with the visitor’s name, email and question.

Automatic updates

New versions appear on your Updates screen like any other plugin, and can install themselves.

How to install

Live in about five minutes

Download

Download the plugin’s .zip file with the button at the top of this page. Don’t unzip it.

Upload

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Choose the file, then Install Now and Activate.

Connect

Open Settings → Ai.RevTech.ca Web Agent and enter the domain name we gave you for your web agent.

Save

Adjust the colors and greeting if you like, then save. The plugin checks your homepage and confirms the chat is live.

What you need

  • WordPress 5.8 or later

  • PHP 7.2 or later
  • A Promptly AI web agent from RevTech.ca, and the domain name we set it up under
  • Permission to install plugins on your site (an administrator account)

Questions

Will it slow down my site?

No. The chat loads after the rest of your page, so visitors see your content first.

Does it work with my theme?

It works with any theme that includes the standard WordPress footer, which nearly all do. The installation check tells you if yours doesn’t.

Does it show up in my WordPress dashboard?

No. The chat only appears on your public site.

What happens if I delete the plugin?

The chat is removed from your site. Your settings are kept in case you reinstall, unless you choose to delete them in the plugin’s settings.
